 Abstract

Disc(Rotor) brakes are exposed to large thermal stresses during routine braking and extraordinary thermal stresses during hard braking. The aim of the project is to design, model a disc. Modeling is done using NX/UG. Structural analysis is to be done on the disc brakes using three materials Stainless Steel and Cast iron carbon carbon composite. Structural analysis is done on the disc brake to validate the strength of the disc brake. Comparison can be done for deformation, stresses etc. form the three materials to check which material is best. NX/UG is a 3d modeling software widely used in the design process. HYPERMESH is general-purpose finite element analysis (FEA) software package. Finite Element Analysis is a numerical method of deconstructing a complex system into very small pieces (of user-designated size) called elements.

 Abstract

The Indian federalism is unique in character. It is based on centreplate formation. It is not outcome of any agreement but formed for the administrative convenience. The most unfortunate part was that the reorganisation of states was made on the lingual basis due to lingual movement. Although the leadership had the vision to reorganise the states on administrative and economic basis but they have to down before the strong lingual movement of that time. This arrangement has created lots of challenges before Indian federation which are still going on. The most striking feature of this arrangement is sharp rise of communal and lingual regionalism in Indian politics which further accelerated the separatist tendencies among the Indian states. It has created regional and economic imbalances in Indian society. Some areas are totally neglected due to this reorganisation of the states. The centre-state relations in Indian federation have always been in dark shadows due to the non-cooperation between centre and states. The role of governor and article 356 has diminished federalism sentiments. The constitutional head of the state, the governor played negative role to intervene and toppling of elected governments in the states. The steep rise of regionalism in Indian politics from early 90s has also disturbed the mathematics of federalism in India. The regional parties have dominant role not only in their state politics but have big presence in national politics and they have started to pressurise and blackmail the central government for the petty interest of their states. It is time to review Indian federation to make it more cooperative and successful. The central government now cannot ignore regional sentiments and suppress their voice due to increase role of regional parties in national politics. The states must also come out from their state interest and think about the nation to make Indian federalism more cooperative.

 Abstract

Indian English fiction writers depict women and their experiences in patriarchal societies with a deep sympathetic understanding. Ghosh’s women are portray sensitively and in fact they are the leading spirits in his fiction. He portrays their cultural construction. Amitav Ghosh never presents his women characters as overt radical feminists nor as the stereotype images of Sita and Savitri. His representation of women is essentially realistic. Through his depiction of women in his novels, Amitav Ghosh has attempted to explore the emotional world of women that helps the readers to understand the feminine sensibility as well as their psychology. In The Shadow Lines women characters are represented as courageous as men since they fight the challenges of widowhood, poverty injustice. In this novel Tha’mma’s character is that of a great revolutionary, with strong nationalist feelings. Amitav Ghosh refelects the conditions of women in his novels. Ghosh traces the evolution of the feminine world from the stereotypes to the feminists. His women characters are portrayed as life givers and are the leading spirits of his fiction. He portrays women and their experience with sympathetic understanding. This paper studies the representation of women in selected novels of Amitav Ghosh like The Shadow Lines and The Glass Palace. In these two novels, Ghosh envisages a future where women empowerment will lead to the emancipating changes in the larger social issues. The novels depict the life of three generation across cultures and borders. In this present paper, I would discuss philosophical elements, women’s struggle against patriarchal society, gender discourse and status of women in the society.

 Abstract

Mutual Funds as a diversified mode of investment, is so popular after the globalization ,privatization and liberalization era in India .But after demonetization, it has acquired so much fame as the return is comparatively high while the risk factor is scattered over the investors. So return and risk concept of Investment Portfolio is practically applied in the case of mutual fund investments. So different types of mutual funds, especially SIP(Systematic Investment Plan)is so popular among the middle masses of India. Demonetization has provided very much opportunities to an average Indian investor to channelize his/her resources into a protected and tax saving mode. So in this paper we try to analyze the significance of mutual funds as a mode of investment after demonetization in India. Though value of mutual funds depends on Net Asset Value, investors are protected from the uphill task of Security Analysis as it is performed by qualified CAs and CMAs of Asset Management Companies.
