The introduction of E-PoS machine in the ration shops of Kerala was a bold move to put curb on the unethical practices of diverting the ration articles by ration shop owners and operators. The machine is expected to bring in transparency in operation and ensure effective distribution of articles to the ration card holders. The operational efficiency of the system is expected to improve the PDS in Kerala. A study on the perception of consumers, ie, the ration card holders on the operation of the system and its effectiveness becomes important in this context. The present study has revealed that the consumers are satisfied with the E-Pos System; but the system has to address the operational issues faced so that the satisfaction rating of the consumers improves.

Today, wide rational sources have been offered by current research on ethylene gas and related sources, for explaining influence of applied (exogenously) chemicals including different plant growth regulators (PGRs). In this respected, it is described widely that ethephon encourages ripening process and increases level of ethylene in plant cells which promote usual ripening processes in fruits and may influence storage fruit quality and adjourn harvesting process. Ministry of Agriculture has explained that various fruits when subjected to exogenously ethylene at lower concentration stimulate ripening activity and declared as safe (ranging from 0.001-0.01%) for human consumption. Exogenous application of various chemicals expressively declined disease incidence especially post-harvest, consequently increased fruit quality including shelf life of the fruit. Among these chemicals, the ethrel has been recognized for better results. It is established that pre and post treatment with various chemicals to bearing trees and fruits may lead to useful results. But in both cases, results may vary. From collected literature It is reviewed that these ripening substance influence harvesting process, date and monetary revenue generated by a grower by making effective selling strategy.

Covid-19 pandemic, indeed, is one of the most disruptive events in world history. It started off as a localised infection but later spread at geometric proportions engulfing the whole world. The destruction caused by the pandemic on all walks of life cannot be put into words. Also, successive lockdowns enforced by the governments in almost all the countries to contain the pandemic have left an indelible mark on World economy. As it was essentially a trade off between protecting public health and saving economies from going to the dogs, many governments responsibly chose to save lives. Understandably, it has resulted in economies getting shattered and desperate governments terribly short of funds. Hence, the impact of COVID-19 is many folds. The pandemic besides being responsible for affecting person to person interaction is also the culprit for breaking the neck of traditionally run businesses. India, being a country of paradoxes, was terribly hit by the pandemic in terms of its business profits and traditional economy. Hence, this paper is aimed at understanding the supposed impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on credit and aggregate deposits of commercial banks of Karnataka.

Home stay eco tourism is an emerging tourism concept evolved lately in the tourism world. India can be a model homestay for its multi faceted potentialities. Natural gifts, man-made heritages ethno- cultural richness, innocent social settings, pleasant hospitality and many more unexplored treasures that are dreams for experts of tourism. Homestay tourism cannot prosper sans the convergence of needs of the affluent and the needy based on the premise of demand driven mechanism because it is a need base concept. India can harness the boon of tourist potentiality rampant at the rural areas where government has pro-poor programs. This form of tourism is based on three aspects namely service, facility and attraction. India has a strong position only in attraction whereas it is lacking in facility and services. Sustainable tourism takes place if home grown resources and natural settings are effectively served to the tourism as well as also preserved. Promotion of tourism thus is highly dependent upon the active participation of the private sector and communities where the role of government becomes that of a facilitator.

The world of Marketing has undergone unimaginable changes in the last century. The level of transformation marketing practices, tools and techniques have undergone, is beyond one's wildest imagination. A market, in a traditional economy, was only confined to a physical place with many limitations of place, time and utility. The era of globalisation has ensured that the world market is shrunk to the size of human palm as all the markets are accessible with the touch of our fingertips. Evidently, social media which started off as a platform for human interaction, now has been developed into a platform that can effectively be used for brand positioning, advertising and many others aspects of marketing management. For any business, it is imperative to keep up with the advancements taking place in the world of Marketing and marketing tools. This paper is an attempt at presenting one of the most relevant trends in marketing.
