There is an influential ethical approach that is called deontological. The words deontology is derived from the Greek words for duty (deon) and science (or study) of (logos). In contemporary moral philosophy, deontology is one of those kinds of normative theories regarding which choices are morally required, forbidden, or permitted. In other words, deontology falls within the domain of moral theories that guide and assess our choice of what we ought to do (Deontic theories), in contrast to virtue theories. Fundamentally deontological theory is meant to guide and assess what kind of person (in terms of character traits) we are and should be. And within that domain, deontology, those who subscribe to deontological theories of morality stand in opposition to consequential theories. Deontological theories judge the states of affairs those agents. Deontologists of all types hold that some choices cannot be justified by their effects-that no matter how morally good their consequences are some choices are morally forbidden. On deontological accounts of morality, agents cannot make certain wrong choice even if by doing so the number of wrong choices will be minimized. For deontologists, what makes a choice right is its conformity with moral norms. Such norms are to be simply obeyed by each moral agent, such norm keepings are not to be maximized by each agent. In this sense, for deontologists, the right has priority over the good. If an act is not in accordance with the right, it may not be undertaken, no matter the good that it might produce

Intense world-wide competition for markets, sources of raw materials and outlets for capital investment now began. The competition for colonies and semi-colonies became increasingly intense and bitter as areas open to fresh colonial domination became scarce.Facing a challenge to its dominant position in world capitalism from newcomers, Britain began a vigorous effort to consolidate its control over its existing empire and to extend it further. Moreover, after 1850, a very large amount of British capital was invested in railways, loans to the Government of India, and to a smaller extent in tea plantationsThe Revolt of 1857 gave a severe jolt to the British administration in India and made its reorganization inevitable. The Government of India’s structure and policies underwent significant changes in the decades following the Revolt. But more important for changes in Indian economy and government was the inauguration of a new stage of colonialism in India. The second half of the nineteenth century witnessed the spread and intensification of the Industrial Revolution. Gradually, other countries of Europe, the USA and Japan underwent industrialisation, and the manufacturing and financial supremacy of Britain in world economy came to an end. , coal mining, jute mills, shipping, trade and banking. It was necessary that, to render this British capital secure from economic and political dangers, British rule in India be clamped down even more firmly. Consequently, there was a renewed upsurge of imperial control and imperialist ideology which was reflected in the reactionary policies of the viceroyalties of Lytton, Dufferin, Lansdowne, Elgin and, above all, Curzon.

The purpose of the study was to know the Relationship of selected physiological variables with kabaddi playing ability among secondary school female kabaddi players. Methodology- In order to achieve the purpose of the study forty (40) secondary school female kabaddi players were selected as the subjects. During district level competition of mysore district from the data pertaining to the four selected physiological variables such as vital capacity was assessed with the help of dry spirometer, pulse rate, systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure was assessed with the help of Omron automatic blood pressure monitor MX3. Kabaddi playing ability was assessed through subjective rating, by three experts, during the district level tournament and the average was taken as criterion score. Statistical Analysis-the collected data was tested with coefficient of correlation statistical technique to test the Relationship of selected physiological variables with Kabaddi playing ability among secondary school female kabaddi players. Results-The statistical analysis shows coefficient of correlation in the Relationship of selected physiological variables with Kabaddi playing ability among secondary school female kabaddi players. Conclusion-The analysis of the study revealed that there was a significant Relationship of selected physiological variables such as diastolic blood pressure and there was no significant relationship between selected physiological variables such as vital capacity, pulse rate, and systolic blood pressure with Kabaddi playing ability among secondary school female kabaddi players.

Purpose of the present study was to identify the physical and psychological variables who can best predict the performance of Kabaddi . For the purpose of study fifty female Kabaddi players was selected purposely from different schools of Mandya district. The age of subjects was 14 to 17 years. To find the playing ability, leg explosive strength, shoulder explosive strength, abdominal strength endurance, flexibility and agility were selected as physical variables while sports competition anxiety and self-confidence were selected as psychological variables. To measure the selected variables standard test was used while playing ability was measured by panel of three experts on ten point rating scale. Data was collected from different schools from Mandya district from prior permission of physical education teachers by proper explained and demonstrated of test to the subjects and required trial was provided before final effort/attempt. Descriptive statistics, Pearson product moment correlation and linear regression (step method) was used at 0.05 level of significance. Findings revealed that all the selected physical variables are significantly correlated with playing ability while both selected psychological variables are not significantly correlated with kabaddi playing ability. Where regression model suggest that only Muscular endurance and flexibility are appropriate to cause maximal variance in kabaddi playing ability.
