Indian English fiction writers depict women and their experiences in patriarchal societies with a deep sympathetic understanding. Ghosh’s women are portray sensitively and in fact they are the leading spirits in his fiction. He portrays their cultural construction. Amitav Ghosh never presents his women characters as overt radical feminists nor as the stereotype images of Sita and Savitri. His representation of women is essentially realistic. Through his depiction of women in his novels, Amitav Ghosh has attempted to explore the emotional world of women that helps the readers to understand the feminine sensibility as well as their psychology. In The Shadow Lines women characters are represented as courageous as men since they fight the challenges of widowhood, poverty injustice. In this novel Tha’mma’s character is that of a great revolutionary, with strong nationalist feelings. Amitav Ghosh refelects the conditions of women in his novels. Ghosh traces the evolution of the feminine world from the stereotypes to the feminists. His women characters are portrayed as life givers and are the leading spirits of his fiction. He portrays women and their experience with sympathetic understanding. This paper studies the representation of women in selected novels of Amitav Ghosh like The Shadow Lines and The Glass Palace. In these two novels, Ghosh envisages a future where women empowerment will lead to the emancipating changes in the larger social issues. The novels depict the life of three generation across cultures and borders. In this present paper, I would discuss philosophical elements, women’s struggle against patriarchal society, gender discourse and status of women in the society.

Mutual Funds as a diversified mode of investment, is so popular after the globalization ,privatization and liberalization era in India .But after demonetization, it has acquired so much fame as the return is comparatively high while the risk factor is scattered over the investors. So return and risk concept of Investment Portfolio is practically applied in the case of mutual fund investments. So different types of mutual funds, especially SIP(Systematic Investment Plan)is so popular among the middle masses of India. Demonetization has provided very much opportunities to an average Indian investor to channelize his/her resources into a protected and tax saving mode. So in this paper we try to analyze the significance of mutual funds as a mode of investment after demonetization in India. Though value of mutual funds depends on Net Asset Value, investors are protected from the uphill task of Security Analysis as it is performed by qualified CAs and CMAs of Asset Management Companies.

With the progressive erosion of tariffs and other forms of non-tariff barriers that can restrict international trade, countries are turning to Technical Barriers to Trade (TBTs) as a means of regulating markets, protecting their consumers and natural resources, and possibly discriminating against imports in favor of domestic products. For food product exporting Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs)in developing countries, the impact of these technical barriers applied as standards and regulations is more damning because in many respects they lack the necessary Trade - Related Capacity to implement the various technical requirements in export markets; a prerequisite for international competitiveness. This study develops a joint holistic theoretical framework that will guide a Trade - Related Capacity Building Approach (TRCBA) in standards towards international competitiveness for SMEs .

Human psychology contributes an important part in how individuals make investment decisions. Many investors are their own biggest enemy. The risk of some people making investment decisions is often more important than the risks of the investment itself. In the past few decades, research in behavioral finance has grown significantly. Human psychology plays a significant role in how individuals make investment decisions. Financial theory suggests that investor do not like taking excess risk. They will avoid taking on excess risk and continue buying or selling investments to reduce risk. This is theoretically great, but not true in practical world. In Behavioral finance has observed that psychology of human beings plays a big role while taking any investment decisions, hence many people in market end up taking wrong decisions. In the real world, investors facing potential losses often take on additional risks and hope they can make up for this loss. Even if the best strategy is to sell, they still hold the investment. The opposite is also true in case of investors earning good profit. This paper is the effort to study the role of such behavioral factors and their contribution in investment decisions.

True entrepreneurs are resourceful, passionate and driven to accomplish something and improve. They're pioneers and are comfortable fighting on the frontline. The great ones are ready to be laughed at and criticized in the beginning because they can see their path ahead and are too busy working towards their dream. An entrepreneur is a businessperson who not only conceives and organizes ventures but also commonly takes risks in doing so. Not all self-determining business people are true entrepreneurs, and not all entrepreneurs are fashioned equal. Different degrees or levels of entrepreneurial intensity and drive depend upon how much independence one exhibits, the level of leadership and innovation they demonstrate, how much responsibility they shoulder, and how creative they become in envisioning and executing their business plans. This paper focuses and provides an approaching into the significance, traits required for an entrepreneur, opportunities and challenges faced by them and at last with a small discussion on entrepreneurship as a occupation.

Decision-making is a multifaceted association. Decisions can not at all be made in a void by relying on the personal possessions and intricate models, which do not take into deliberation the situation. Examination of the variables of the difficulty in which it occurs is mediated by the cognitive psychology of the manager. A state of affairs based on decision-making activity encompasses not only the specific problem faced by the individual but also extends to the environment. Decision-making can be distinct as the procedure of choosing a scrupulous substitute from a number of alternatives. It is a movement that follows after proper assessment of all the alternatives. They need to modernize themselves in multidimensional fields so that they can bring about the desired results/ goals in the aggressive dealing situation.

A cashless society describes an economic state whereby financial transactions are not conducted with money in the form of physical banknotes or coins, but rather through the transfer of digital information (usually an electronic representation of money) between the transacting parties. The recent move of demonetization has rattled the drastic change of cash based economy and forced the people to rethink the movement of transactions and trade.. Now it is a way to promote cashless transactions among citizens, which is really a good idea for the country.
