 Abstract

One of the most basic and powerful tools in all of science and medicine is the light microscope, the fundamental device for laboratory as well as research purposes. With the improving technology, the need for portable, economic and user-friendly instruments is on high demand. The light microscope though an effective device, fails to live up to the emerging trend. And adequate access to healthcare, is not widely available, especially in developing countries. The most basic step towards the curing of a malady is the diagnosis of the disease itself. This challenge is solved with the most common device, Cell Phones, which prove to be the immediate solution for most of the modern day needs with the development of wireless infrastructure allowing us to compute and communicate on the move. This opened up the opportunity to develop novel imaging, sensing, and diagnostics platforms using mobile phones as an underlying platform to address the global demand for accurate, sensitive, cost-effective, and field-portable measurement devices for use in remote and resource-limited settings around the world. A new approach is proposed wherein the camera of a mobile phone would be sufficient to study the blood samples and check for the presence of malarial parasites.

 Abstract

The world has got completely changed by the far eventuation of new tremendous technologies. Our dire life seems to be simpler due to the technology development yet lags in safety of an ICU patient in hospitals. This paper uses of embedded eye detector sensor and speech to text converter. The NIOS II embedded processor is used to design the speech to text converter. This eye detector sensor is hardware based system which has no CPU, no addressable frame buffers. They are implemented with the help of simple logic gates. The speech to text converter helps to create the EMR of the patients. This confidential EMR can be accessed through the embedded eye detector sensor. This design High-up the mass production and lowers the total cost. This modernistic technology also insists the responsibility of the doctors and reduces the criminal rates in the hospitals by providing more security with less effort to the patient.

 Abstract

Text based password authentication scheme is vulnerable to many attacks such as shoulder surfing attack and similar kind of attacks like dictionary attack, brute-force attack etc. Many graphic based password authentication schemes are in existence but they are also quite expensive in deployment and needs more response time at login phase. To solve the problem of text-based password authentication, graphical passwords using images have evolved. Graphical passwords process authentication by selecting the exact positions on the image shown on the screen. This ensures that the data is safe and has a reference selected from the image coordinates that the user selects. A scheme called Captcha based authentication protocol is used along Pass Positions method. Captcha based approach can be found only probabilistically by automatic online guessing attacks even if the password is in the search set. Captcha offers a novel approach to tackle the well-known image hotspot problem in popular graphical password systems, such as Pass Positions, that often leads to weak password choices. This scheme is resistant to usability issues such that it does not overload human memory and provides extra security against unwanted attacks.

 Abstract

This article is about analyzing the shopping experience of the customer by their facial expressions. In the day today scenario retailers find it hard to get the real experience of the customers during their shopping. This new technology helps the retailers the experience of the users gained from their shopping and make the transformation in their shops in order to make the customers happy. There are many factors that can determine whether a particular product attracts shoppers' attention, such as the shape and color of the packaging, location on the shelf, price, and brand. We have used eye-tracking glasses and Emotive EEG to record participants gaze and emotions during the process of shopping. The usage of EEG enabled us to analyze basic emotions, i.e. to find factors that were frustrating for participants and could be improved in real life shops.

 Abstract

Wind as a source of energy is being used for a long period of time. It has gained more significance in the current age of energy crisis. The Horizontal Axis Wind Turbine and the Vertical Axis Wind Turbine is developed and implemented commercially. In order to have combined advantage a new way of Wind Turbine is to be developed in the project. In this, design of the component plays the vital role. The foils in which the blades of different sizes are packed in to it. The design was optimized to attain structural strength in which the E - Glass Fibre is used to design the blades and foils without compromising the weight and strength. The analysis is done using the ANSYS Fluent to determine flow parameters. This is a different design in which Wind takes advantage other household power generation techniques. So Apartment dwellers could efficiently/effectively/sustainably generate electricity and independently make use of feed-in tariffs. This Wind turbine is well suited to urban environments hence widening the range of suitable locations for the harnessing of sustainable energy. Further prototyping and test will be made in order to optimize its performance. Beyond this solution, the technology can be used for developing on-grid and off-grid alternatives for the urban market as well as for motor homes, boats and other stand-alone applications at different sizes. One particularly interesting possible application is wave energy generation, as under the waves it is also a chaotic situation with water flowing in every direction. In order for this technology to be used in that scenario, a greater R&D effort should be made.

 Abstract

Automotive chassis is an important part of an automobile. The chassis serves as a frame work for supporting the body and different parts of the automobile. Also, it should be rigid enough to withstand the shock, twist, vibration and other stresses. Along with strength, an important consideration in chassis design is to have adequate bending stiffness for better handling characteristics. So, maximum stress, maximum equilateral stress and deflection are important criteria for the design of the chassis. This report is the work performed towards the optimization of the automotive chassis with constraints of maximum shear stress, equivalent stress and deflection of chassis. Structural systems like the chassis can be easily analyzed using the finite element techniques. A sensitivity analysis is carried out for weight reduction. So a proper finite element model of the chassis is to be developed. The chassis is modeled in SOLIDWORKS. FEA is done on the modeled chassis using the ANSYS Workbench R14.5.
