Public speaking is an important communication skill for university students, yet many English language learners hesitate to participate in speaking activities because of anxiety, fear of making mistakes, and uncertainty about what to say. This classroom-based qualitative study explores a story-based approach used to encourage first-year agriculture students to participate in public speaking during their regular English practical classes. The class consisted of 70 students, and the activity was carried out throughout one semester, with a writing and speaking activity conducted approximately once every three weeks. Students were invited to write about personally meaningful experiences, including successes, failures, favourite people, places, and other aspects of their lives. Rather than requiring students to speak immediately, they were first encouraged to prepare written stories and, when ready, come forward and speak for about a minute. Students who were initially afraid to speak could simply submit their written assignment, but they were gradually encouraged to participate orally as the semester progressed. Data included student-written stories, attendance records, speech recordings, feedback from classmates and the teacher, and the teacher's reflective journal. The classroom evidence showed a gradual movement from reluctance to participation and from dependence on written stories towards more audience-oriented speaking. The study suggests that writing can function as a low-risk scaffold for speaking by allowing learners to develop content and familiarity before managing the demands of oral performance.

In this work, swarm and immune system based techniques such as particle swarm optimization (PSO) and artificial immune algorithm (AIA) are applied for optimizing the synchronous generator design (SGD). PSO and AIA have been proven to be effective in solving many real multi constrained optimization problem in different domains. SGD problems are complex and non linear in nature with equality and in equality constraints. Two different SGD problems are used to investigate the effectiveness of the proposal. Comparing with the conventional techniques, the current proposal is found to perform better in terms of computation time. Considering the quality of the solution obtained, AIA seems to be promising alternative approach for solving the SGD problems.

A full diallel cross was conducted to estimate the nature and extent of gene action for morphological, growth, biochemical and yield characters in sesame by using 6 x 6 cross. In case of biochemical, yield and yield attributing characters, like chlorophyll content, soluble protein content, number of capsules per plant, and 1000 seed weight the non-additive effects were more pronounced as and were greater than . For seed yield per plant additive genetic variance (1.45) and dominances genetic variance (0.64) and (0.68) were significant indicated that both additive and non-additive components were contributed to the variation in the hybrids. The results manifested that both additive and non-additive components of genetic variances were involved with predominance of dominance variances for most of the yield characters. As additive variance is predominant for the characters, plant height at maturity, days to first senescence, leaf area index, seed yield per plant and oil content. Pedigree selection is an appropriate method to improve these characters.

India is a vast country with a population of over one billion. It is certain that a country like India will have distinct range of consumers. There has been a significant growth of population inurban areas than rural areas over the past few years. However it must be remembered that rural Indiaaccounts for about 70% of total population of India.Indian urban markets are saturated and urbanconsumers are to be convinced a lot by marketers, whereas rural markets are mostly untapped.

The success of all economic policies and programmes should be evaluated in terms of their ability to generate human capability, since all such policies are based ultimately for the betterment of the quality of lives of people. The goals of sustainable development can be achieved only through inclusive development. In formulating development policies, regional variation should be addressed properly otherwise lop-sided development will be invited that itself set backward dynamics. The present study finds that uneven human development across the states in the region is quite significant. The study also reveals that the socio-economic components are having positive role in determining the level of human development in North-Eastern states. The study further supports the premise that along with economic growth, human capability expansion is also one of the obvious requirements for sustained human development in the North-eastern region.

This study has been undertaken to Investigate the News reporting about the northeast in Indian Mainstream newspapers. To analysis this phenomenon the researcher uses the content analysis method in four English newspapers which are published from Delhi. In the act of framing the news about the Northeast, the newspapers take a certain policy. Based on the quantitative study of a large scale newspaper in twenty (20) days this paper examines news circulation tendencies of English newspapers about northeast India.

Goods and Service Tax (GST) is an indirect tax levied on the supply of goods and services. It has come into effect from 1st July 2017 GST, as the term refers to, is a composite tax on goods and services. Every transaction undertaken at every stage i.e. production, distribution, consumption or supply, when effected by one person to another or when effected, otherwise than by way of sale of goods or services, from one State to another, would be subjected to GST at a specified rate. This study focuses on Goods and Service Tax Compliances and Procedure.

Keratin is insoluble structural protein present in nails hair, feather, wool and horns of animals. In the present study keratin degrading bacteria isolated from woollens dumped waste. Ten keratin degrading bacterial strains were isolated. Standard microbiological characteristics were studied. Strain KR1 tentatively identified as Bacillus sp. Keratinolyitc activity of crude enzyme determined .One of the isolate KR1showed highest specific keratinolytc activity 1.9 IU/mg. Optimum condition for keratin degradation were PH 7.5,temperature 370 C and wool keratin concentration 3%. Microbial keratinases have found eco friendly way to treat keratin rich waste and transformation into valuable products.

The present study entitled Quality vs. Quantity Teacher Education appraise the quality of Secondary Teacher Education Institutions in Punjab. The universe of the study was 30 Principals from Secondary Teacher Education Institutions. In this research Survey method was used. The finding of research shows that the growth of Secondary Teacher Education Institutions has been witnessed in all parts of the country. There has been considerable quantitative expansion in the number of teacher education institutions in the country. In Punjab, there are about 216 colleges. This gives a picture of quantitative expansion and the entry of private sector in the field of teacher education. The quality of teacher education institutions has not been up to the mark due to Norms and Standards are not being strictly abided by most of the self -financed Institutions. The mushroom growth of privately managed secondary teacher education institutions is the main factor behind the deteriorating the quality of Secondary teacher education institution. There is dire need for filtering the teacher education program by creating the atmosphere of collective thinking, responsibility and by improving the standards of quality in teacher education.
