"A descriptive study to assess the knowledge regarding cervical cancer among female of age group 15 to 45 years in selected village Farathiya, Garhwa, JH". INTRODUCTION Human papillomavirus (HPV) is a common sexually transmitted infection which can affect the skin, genital area and throat. Almost all sexually active people will be infected at some point in their lives, usually without symptoms. In most cases the immune system clears HPV from the body. Persistent infection with high-risk HPV can cause abnormal cells to develop, which go on to become cancer. HYPOTHESIS H0: There will be no significant association between knowledge regarding cervical cancer and sociodemographic variables. H1: There will be significant association between knowledge regarding cervical cancer and sociodemographic variables. OBJECTIVE o To assess the knowledge and awareness of cervical cancer among women in the village. o To determine the prevalence of cervical cancer risk factors among the study population. o To identify the barriers to cervical cancer screening and early detection among the women. o To evaluate the effectiveness of existing cervical cancer prevention and control programme in the area. o To educate women about the importance of regular pap-smear screening and HPV Vaccination. o To encourage women to seek medical care for abnormal pap smear results or suspicious symptoms. METHOD Data collection is gathering of information from sampling unit. The investigator collects the data from 60 female (15-45) years of age group who were live in village Farathiya, Garhwa. '' A questionnaire is method of data collection in which researcher obtain responses from the subject in face-to-face encounter.'' Hence, the researcher develops a structure questionnaire schedule to conduct the tool cervical cancer design was used for data collection to assess the knowledge regarding cervical cancer among female (15-45) years of age. RESULTS Among 60 females (15-45) years of age had 28.34% good knowledge and 51.67% had average knowledge and 20% had poor knowledge. CONCLUSION The present study was aimed at assessing the knowledge of female (15-45) years of age group regarding cervical cancer. The relevant data was collected statically based on objective of study. Among 60 females (15-45) years of age had 28.34% good knowledge and 51.67% had average knowledge and 20% had poor knowledge. RECOMMENDATION In this study, the investigator purposes the following recommendation for future research. ? A similar study be replicated on a large sample. ? A similar study can be undertaken with large sample size to create awareness among female ? The study finding has shown clearly that the responsibility of health administers.
